Here is a Gordon Swenarton decoy with a very unusual and artistic paint style. It
has a folky form and the eyes are painted, domed tacks. This decoy is completely
hand made and hand painted. The length is 8 3/4". It is painted in a great looking
combination of blue, orange and yellow with pink and white accents. The maker
has signed the decoy on the belly. It also has a hand made, articulated tail that
allows the decoy to move in a swimming motion. Mr Swenarton makes very few
decoys with articulated tails. As with all of his decoys, Mr. Swenarton has given
this great looking decoy a special patina that simulates age and use.
