Lawrence Bethel (deceased) is a well known fish decoy carver from Minnesota.
his decoys are widely collected and have outstanding visual appeal for the dollar.
The wide variety of species and colors made over the years also offer unlimited
potential for putting together an outstanding collection. Bethel fish decoys are
featured in the reference book FISH DECOY MAKERS PAST AND PRESENT
among others. This great looking Crappie measures 5 1/4" long and is painted
realistically with a nice folky flair. The condition is in beautiful, original and
never used with light wear from storage. The carver has signed the decoy on the
bottom and also dated it 2001.
