Fish decoys by iconic Lake Chautauqua fish decoy maker Harry Seymour are
extremely rare and highly collectible. This 7 1/4" trout has the classic Seymour
form with its original leather tail, carved gills, a carved mouth and small domed
tack eyes. It is in fantastic, original condition with a wonderful, dry surface and
subtle paint work at the gills and lateral line. We believe this to be the work of Mr
Seymour but there is still but it is possible the decoy is a very high quality work
by a still unidentified makwer of the era.
