FISH DECOYS~OTHER STATES~OLD
AWESOME FOLKY STURGEON COAXER!
Sturgeon coaxer decoys that are made from unusual materials are highly
collectible and seldom seen. This example is made from an old boat oar and is 22"
long. It is believed to have been made in the 1960s to 70s and has carved gills as
well as a carved mouth. This decoy was part of the famous Gene Metcalf collection
for a time and has been in a private collection for over 20 years since Gene sold it.
It has copper fins and wonderful folk art appeal.
