Tim Spreck fish decoys have been featured on a special segment of the Antiques
Roadshow as well as being included in the collector's reference book Fish Decoy
Makers Past and Present. They are widely collected for their colorful, abstract
paint and folky forms. This classic spearing decoy is completely hand made and
hand painted in Tim's unique, flowing dot-in dot paint technique. The colors are
light green and black. The colors really work well together and the effect is very
cool. The eyes are painted, domed tacks and the decoy has carved gills and a
carved, open mouth. The length is 7 1/2" and the condition is excellent and
unfished. The decoy is signed and dated 2007 by the carver.
