MICHIGAN FISH DECOYS~OLD

[Item Image] VICTOR JOHNSON MOUSE 1930 (CLICK HERE)
THE ACTUAL DECOY PICTURED IN
REFERENCE BOOK!
B-281
$375.00
Victor Johnson is a very obscure fish decoy maker from Ludingtin, Michigan. His
fish decoys are extremely rare and this is the only example of his work we have
ever seen. It is 4" long not including the leather tail and the condition is beautiful
and original with normal wear to the head from handling over the years. It has a
wonderful soft finish and beautiful patina. This is the actual decoy pictured in the
reference book FISH AND FOWL DECOYS OF THE GREAT LAKES by Donna
Tonelli. It is also a floater decoy which means that it would have been used with a
weight suspended from the line tie on the belly. Old floater decoys are extremely
rare and this has to be one of the rarest ever.
